About 1 million without power in Dade and Broward Counties. Eye came on land at Cudjoe Key.The Eye is basically between Key West and Marathon.It's heading up towards Marco Island/Naples, etc. We're(SE Fl) expecting sustained Tropical Storm Force winds with gusts of 80-100 mph as conditions will worsen through the day.

Wind starting to pick up here...gusts in the 40's & 50's...moved east a bit and is making landfall in Marco Island...going to slow it down a bit for St. Pete / Tampa...going to be ugly, but not nearly as bad as it looked a few hours ago. Stay safe Florida Rockets!

The wind and rain is picking up here in Orlando. Power outages increasing. I still have power here at the hotel. It appears the center of circulation is heading up the middle of the state. I think the west coast will be fine. My house in Vero Beach lost power but otherwise I've heard there's no structural damage. We're lucky we didn't get hit by the Cat 5 with 180 mph winds. It appears the Caribbean took the worst beating.

Whiners.
