Why does it matter what they do after leaving Houston?

this might be joke but this would be homerun hire for ecu...
sumlin and his air raid style never fit the sec, but it would work in the AAC, and hi strong recruiting back but be a huge bump for ecu

for how much ecu is offering (mony wise) this is likely the best possible outcome and a coach if you hired likely wouldnt go anywhere

Sumlin wouldn't be a good fit at ECU imho. We need a guy like Mike Houston.

he will be a hot ticket for anyone, with little proven up and comers, if there are enough firings he might not be an option... but i agree he'd be a home run hire...but be very aware the last great jmu coach before him is currently coaching the worst ranked fbs team

also how would he be a bad fit, he literally is in the same air raid coaching circles ruffin was from, they literally ran the same type of football, and he is already familiar with the many teams in the conference .. and in his 10 year coaching career he has only finished less than 8 wins once, and that year he lost 2 starting qbs (and plays in the sec west)

again ecu isn't offering bags of money, and isn't offering an instant win program..if mike houston becomes a hot topic..sumlin would be in the top end of your options

I'm not talking about the kind of offense he runs.

what an idiot. 11, 9 and 2 eight win seasons while playing in the SEC West. Texans really are emotional retards when it comes to college ball.

Well, then that makes Memphis the skank you bang at 4 am in the frat house and your buddies make fun of you for pounding the fat chick.

A&M had the 2nd worst SEC passing defense last season and nothing has changed.

Not sure Morris would be top choice to improve that but he has the macheesmo that A&M fans would slurp up whatever he sells (initially).

Monty stays at Tulsa and builds a small school dynasty the likes of which we've never seen. Mutiple NY6 appearances and at least 1 playoff appearance.

California will fall into the ocean and the Democrats will never win a presidential election again for lack of electoral votes.

Al Gore will admit man made climate change is a hoax.

All are equally likely.

Already having discussions with Montgomery

I think you can get Scotty to jump, especially after that first game.

Houston would take that job, and immediately improve the program. He did it at Lenoir Rhyne, did it at The Citadel, did it at JMU, and would do it at ECU.

I don't see Aggie going for Morris - too close to the profile of Sumlin. They'll be touting Stoops and Gruden.
Rice will get a grade A retread: Sumlin or maybe Todd Graham as he returns to his dream job.
Scotty Mo gets 3 years to turn right that ship.
