So you are getting a terrible rate of return on your investment. Good at football but terrible at other sports

Again Pirates are showing your ignorance.

47 Million vs 44 Million

We have the highest Div 1 athletics program across the board in the Commonwealth of Va
In all sports winning percentages.

How many D1 National championships does your school have across the board?

Some AD's should never be allowed to choose a coach.

ECU has a major strength that many others will never have. That is a great fan base.

ECU is one coach hire away from being a strong performer in several sports.

but a legitimate question ive been thinking about.
if ecu had been passed up for usm when invitations where being handed out. ecu would have likely been a regular 9/10/11 win team in c-usa...and a regular cbi/nit team in basketball in c-usa

ecu can recruit and out talent most c-usa, but are bottom tier in the AAC..

and if you really pay attention to ecu fans they just care about winning and not as much about the opponents ..theyd be 50k strong and happy if they were the c-usa top dog (probably trash talking how they could beat anyone in the AAC)

the year before ecu joined the AAC, the ecu fans were hyped beating over-matched c-usa teams, a year later on a "better team" didn't do so great in the AAC and so began the downfall and ecu fan despair..i guarantee they'd have been happy finishing top 25 vs overmatched c-usa that year
..and ecu isnt some recruiting juggernaut you could argue theyd be better recruiting as the top dog in c-usa than a bottom feeder in the AAC

is the grass not always greener? is the AAC bad for ecu?
ECU is a coach and two years away from beating the hell out of all of us when they are ready to do it.

RE: A question for ECU fans
Our program &*(&* up when we ran Terry Holland out for this Compher. Since he left it has been a spreading fire that is torching everything that made our programs positive. Why you run out a coach that wants to be here after one sub-par season, in a conference that was a huge step up is beyond me. Ruff could have been our Beamer....now we get a unexperienced coach, who at best succeeds and leaves and we start over again....or we get beat like a drum to a FCS school. Firing Ruff was classless, short sighted and just misguided.

Lebo should have been canned after this last season. Something is broken in that program, they can't keep their players. It don't matter what we recruit or who we bring in if we can't even keep the players we bring here. This tells me there is a disconnect between the players and the coaches. We are in a basketball league that should have brought in talent, and pulled us up, but yet we still toil.

Both of these are Compher issues....he should have addressed them better....I don't understand why he is getting a extension. The worst part is our program took this dive at the worst possible time as atleast a few years ago we could make some claims to maybe moving to a B12 or some P5 schools and only be chuckled at....now we are at a point where we the fans aren't even sure we deserve that type of mention.

Im so disappointed with our leadership, and it wouldn't matter if we were CUSA, AAC, or Colonial....that team was garbage. They quit in the 4th quarter, we got pushed around on both lines to a FCS school. It wasn't that we lost....it was that we got owned. This wasn't a cinderella came in and faught the good fight...it was just embarassing.

Compher set ECU back a decade. Firing Montgomery after 2 years isn't the right move. He's here now,let him figure this thing out over the course of the season and see if he can get to 7 or 8 wins next year. Firing Mo puts ECU back another 5 years cause Compher will **** up the next hire.

Buy hookers like Louisville. That is the way to win. Hire the biggest slime balls you can find (ex Louisville). Or go the UNC route...or do both?

If we are going slime balls, might as well grab a player beater like Leach or Levitt. Better than the hug em up approach. Our guys got man handled like the momma's boys they are last night.COGS

couldn't be more wrong here. nice troll... I'm not taking the bait.

Bottom line is we are going through what every school in this league has dealt with at one time or another. Incompetent administrators and a horrible AD. Houston went through it in the 1990s.

This **** has been coming for a while now. It started when certain dipshits with big egos essentially ran Terry Holland out of town.

ECU can be successful. They just have to get back at it. The first step is getting the right guy in the front office.
2 different ADs. Our current AD has blown every bit of cash we had in reserves on stupid **** like the logo change and women's ******* lacrosse.
