I ran into most of my tailgating buddies on the way out, and everyone was bringing that up. I was really pissed as it was happening, it was absolutely gutless and very typical of CRS. The lady I was with as we were walking out, was saying our coaches needed some little blue pills.

The game was disheartening, but not as much as the fact that this game and more like it to come later in the season, no doubt, will have no impact on the relative coolness of CRS' seat.

MTSU is going to be streaky like last year. Tech basically shut down Middle for 3 quarters in Murfreesboro last year 27-7 then they rattled off 31 points.

That's how Franklin offense works, once it gets going it is hard to stop. Vandy defense is solid and squash any momentum.

I think MTSU will still be a top team in the East

Did the MT coach just sign a contract extension recently? Status?

He gets a contract extension every time he wins 7 games.

I suspected from observations of last season that if nothing else, people were going to be talking about Vanderbilt's defense, it's going to be one of their conference's top 3-5 there in. I was rooting for MT, but I suspected a tough outing. Vanderbilt is no pushover... Whoever draws them in SEC play is gonna find this out.
