Sounds like The Huddle is a waste of airtime.
I enjoy Drive Time Sports on the radio for the most part, except they're way too concerned with highschool ball and local stuff like that. I can listen to that stuff for a few minutes, but sometimes they beat it to death. The guys are all great individuals, it seems. But man! are they homers. And whenever a caller mentions this to them, they get defensive as heck. Downright thinskinned about it.
A balance between that style and a little more edge would be nice.

I hate DTS and Randy Rainwater....not even close to the best radio show in this state
SportsRap with Chuck Barrett, Dudley Dawson, and co. is by FAR a better show. They spend 90% of their time on the Razorbacks, and the rest...very little, to the local (NWA) area.

SportsRap!! I couldn't remember the name of that. I work real early in the a.m. so do most radio/tv listening in afternoons. Yeah, that is a better show.
I do get burnt out on DTS. RR has a terrible radio voice, horrific grammar at times. My problem was, I came back here from Nashville, where they have an excellent show, Sports Night, which covers all SEC and area college, plus MLB, NFL, etc. Then I come here and get Class AA highschool ball rammed down my throat, for an hour on end. It's a tough adjustment. And the crew just simply won't criticize the University even when warranted. The coaches, either. Hell, they barely even said anything bad about Nolan's 'behaviour'.. I mean, good grief.

I can't stand DTS b/c of RR. Rainwater is a fair-weather UA fan at best, supporting Nolan still and always talking about friggin stAte. Plus, you're right, it's nonstop HS football with him. Who cares? Especially about Warren and that @$$hole of a coach Hembree who's in Knoxville getting his freak on with Fat Phil Fulmer.
SR, by leaps and bounds, is the king of Razorback talk radio

I'll have to make a point of listening to SR. Doesn't it come on in the early evening? The time or two I've found it, it really is a better show, as you said. Now stAte has scheduled LaMon here in the Rock, and that's the NEXT BIG THING here in central Ark.
I'm looking for good things out of the Hogs this year!
