The first two games for us, sadly, aren't games we're supposed win. We were a 23 point dog at Ole Miss, and we will probably be a bigger dog at home vs Oklahoma State.

That being said, we've been relying on our defense the last two years as our offense has been gimmicky. If our defense is suspect this year, we're going to be in terrible trouble unless our offense actually produces for the first time in a few years. I was happier about the running game.

I thought our offense looked very good. Cole Garvin was sharp and hit almost every target. Our young WRs let him down a few times on crucial 3rd downs, but they are just that, young. They will be very good in a couple weeks.

I think our d-line is legit. Their QB just worked magic every time we got him in a pickle and threw it up for grabs. That Ole Miss receiver is one of the best in the country, if not the best. He was tough to bring down and ate our lunch. They also took advantage of Neiko going down.

I agree that OSU is going to make us look bad next week as well, but those will be the best QB/WR combos we are going to see this year. Good experience for our young CBs.

My one good take from this game is how nice it is to see a USA rushing game again.

You guys will be fine. That Auburn defense is going to be extremely good, and they had way too much time to prepare for you guys.

This was in the section to the right of us. They could have fought all night and no one would've gotten hurt.

Side note: They had a lady who was being honored for her military awards, and when everyone was applauding, our section began the "USA" "USA" chant. They picked up on it and started chanting too, until they realized....

I thought the defense played well until it became apparent they weren't going to get any offensive support. I don't think we got a first down until there was about 3 minutes left in the half. 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out won't cut it when the other side runs an offense like that. I've never seen a team like OSU. When the play was over they were back on the line of scrimmage in seconds and most of the time with a play already called.
