I left at the end of the game when we took a knee and it was a memorable experience, wish it would have been better conditions but:

It is what it is.

It's freaking football.....if anything, it might have showed what we have in the trenches...not sure that's good on the defensive side? Anybody remember the Miss State and Fla State games at home in the mid 80's? You couldn't see the other side of the field in the Miss st game....Don't remember all the complaining back then....

The complaining is that everyone knew it was coming for several days and it could have easily been moved back to Saturday, the normal game day. If it hadnt been for TV, it most certainly would have been moved (of course, that is the reason it was on TH in the first place). I just dont think that coverage on CBSSN was worth the impact on the game and the fan experience.

Anyway, how much did we, and the AAC, get for it?

You want to postpone/cancel games every time it rains a little bit?

The game started too late boo hoo. It's wet outside boo hoo. It's a weekday boo hoo. The seats make my butt hurt boo hoo.

We get to participate in a 7 year 126 million dollar contract.

The good thing was that there was very little traffic, but I can tell you even driving from the other side of Central around to Parkway was not fun on the rain slick, puddled streets whose lane lines were hard to see in the headlights, walking under trees whose limbs were swaying back and forth with 30 mph winds, stepping over lots of downed branches on broken up sidewalks in the dark, and having to turn around on a street because of a downed tree. I toughed it out, but it was pretty miserable and they game should have been moved.

Hey its football and playing in crappy weather comes with the territory (the players, fans, TV crews, ect.) One plus is we’ve now been there, done that and won playing in the middle of a weak tropical depression.

This should help us down the road in our mud/wind fests surely to come.
