RE: 3 Star Illinois Forward Set To Visit UAB This Weekend
Israel Barnes
Berrick Jean Louis
Myreon Jones
Basically a 2/3, G/F type. Unless we really like JuCo big Wellesley Butler.
Saw Matt Horton commit to WKY, their size could be a problem along with MTSU.

5/2/2017 - 2018 SF Rodgerick Brown (6-6, 200, 4★) has received an offer from UAB
With that said, I'm not sure he is still an option.
I don't keep up with recruiting to the level that I once did.
According to this, he has committed to Wichita State

Barnes is the guy...big boys, like Kansas, starting to get involved, though, as with the others, as well...
Also,
https://cbbcentral.com/2017/09/05/labor-...g-roundup/
"Rob Ehsan’s staff at UAB has picked up right where it left off with its successes on the recruiting trail for the 2017 class in 2018, landing a commitment from Chicago big man Tamell Pearson this weekend. Pearson, who also considered Oklahoma State, Washington State, Murray State, and others, was an extremely important recruit for the Blazers given that frontcourt cogs Chris Cokley and William Lee will graduate after this season. Now, with Pearson, fellow 2018 commit Juda Akabueze and freshman Makhtar Gueye all in tow, the future in the frontcourt looks as bright as ever in Birmingham."

Agreed. He and Jude in the interior ....
Great pickup, but from the video, his skillset looks more similar to Cokley than Lee, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Word is of late he's developed a solid pick n pop mid range game.

Yeah, that's still more similar to Cokley than Lee in my opinion. I see Jude as a Kenneth Cooper replacement (it's been that long since we've had a true center), and Tamell as Cokley's replacement. Our Lee replacement is on the roster this season—Gueye.
