RE: So What Did You Learn After Game 1?
It wasn't just that Ferguson didn't throw well in the wind and rain it's that he was trying to throw to people that were not open and he just threw it up for grabs.. My main concern with Ferguson is that I've never seen him chk off of a receiver and throw to his 2nd or 3rd option.. He never takes his eyes off of his 1st receiver and good teams pick up on that.. He did well last year even though he starred at his prime target every throw.. It also helps him having receivers like Miller to go to..Also he is pretty much running on every throw so it's hard to have time to hit a 2nd or 3rd option..

Maybe they can throw in the rain but not in the rain AND wind. How would we know this..yet?

We shoulda deflated the balls at half to get a better grip.05-stirthepot
I think I'll go deflate mine, right now.

01-wingedeagle based on a game in the rain and wind....that we WON?

You're just as miserable about football as basketball...so at least you're consistent.

Go kick the dog and you'll feel better.

I was there last night.

If you were even 1/2 as clever as you think you are you wouldn't keep getting crushed in here. Just quit posting before you make an even bigger idiot of yourself than you already have.

crushed in here.

I keep checking for the injuries I've sustained from this crushing defeat but I can't seem to find them...I think all that time sitting out in the wind and rain has clearly damaged your brain to the point all the malted hops and bong resin in world can't hold it together anymore.

just a tough break for a good kid, doe.

The balls were up for grabs. But it wasn't because WR's were covered. From what I saw, most were the correct reads. Just poor execution - due to elements, shotgun grips, and whatever.

Give me a break. You do not throw for 3,700 yard and 32 touchdowns in a single season by never going through progressions and only throwing to your primary target. There could not have been worse conditions for a QB than we saw against ULM. I am willing to put much more stock in how Riley performed over all of last season than in the first game of this season in the midst of a tropical depression...
