Can we have some context, RIce and FIU, 2 worst teams we have to offer last few seasons in CUSA....It will get better starting Saturday, I don't have much faith in FAU either.....

We better beat Miami; that's all I have to say. If not the program is in total collapse.

You mean some of our Texas and Florida big-market schools aren't competitive in a revenue generating sport? Color me surprised.

I think FIU and FAU could do quite well under these coaches, but success isn't instantaneous. I give any C-USA team a pass against Top 15 competition.

Well, so far our offenses haven't been good, but at least our defenses suck.

Certainly nothing to crow about if you are a C-USA fan. We simply have to do a better job in OOC games if we are to earn any respect, at all. Hopefully, the rest of the openers go better.

You mean the 5 hosting FCS teams? :)

I wish the lower tear CUSA teams would open with a cupcake team.... build some damn confidence instead of getting waxed like a New corvette

Let this be a warning to Charlotte if you let the Panthers beat you you're out of the conference

Unfortunately this margin will grow before it gets better. UTEP and Oklahoma are up next.

I can understand Rice losing by 55 points to #9 Stanford. It's bad, but most of our teams would have a similar score.

FAU and FIU have new coaches. I've said it all off season... those coaches will need time to get their systems in place. It terrible that they both got whipped by AAC programs, but that's just they way the schedule worked this year.

I'm not surprised Charlotte lost to Eastern Michigan, but this is year 3 in C-USA. It is time for Charlotte to start competing with the historically lower programs from the other G5 conferences.

The C-USA suffering will likely get worse today.

LA Tech, North Texas, ODU, and WKU might produce the only C-USA wins of the opening week.

It's unrelated but I stopped in Denton on my way to Norman from Austin to fill up and use the restroom. I'm surprised by the amount of support for the university. I saw a lot of people wearing green North Texas shirts. I went into the Walmart on University Blvd and got a lot of strange looks. Of course I'm all decked out in UTEP orange. Good luck on your season. I can't wait to return to Denton for our matchup.
