Final was 37-31.

Not a bad performance overall by NMSU. 3rd quarter just did them in.

549 yards total offense.

The most impressive stat to me was the defense sacked Arizona State seven times. We had 12 sacks all of last season.

As an FCS program, 3rd quarter was always the make or break time for us when we played P5 teams. Most of the time it was a lot to handle, so I totally understand what NMSU went through.

Really great showing by the Aggies though.

Didn't expect this game to be close. I thought Troy would have an easier Sun Belt opener... doesn't appear to be the case.

Maybe, just maybe, this will help App State's schedule move higher than the 130th toughest schedule out of 130 FBS teams.

Great effort, NMSU. I'd love to see you guys break that bowl-less streak.

The emergence of a new star? Jaleel Scott appeared to be the best player on the field last night with 8 catches for 149 yards and 2 TD's topped of with this mind blowing grab:

Was featured as the #1 play on SC top ten!
