Here's the story direct from the WBBL http://wbbl.org.uk/monakana-lands-at-wildcats/

Says Janice just had a knee surgery. Hope she's back on the court in no time.

In other former Rocket WBB player news, Brenae Harris has signed with a new team in the Spanish league:

Reviving a very old thread to report that the Sevenoaks Suns have won the Women's British Basketball Playoff for the 3rd straight year, behind 23 points from Janice Monakana in the championship game. Monakana was named MVP. Here's a brief story on her:
http://www.wbbl.org.uk/janice-monakana-n...final-mvp/

Interestingly, one of Janice's teammates is none other than former UT Rocket Ta'Yani Clark, who pulled down 16 rebounds in the championship game.

Always nice to hear about former Rockets still making a mark.

Janice Monakana Enjoying EuroBasket Experience
https://women.hoopsfix.com/2019/janice-m...xperience/

Janice made the Great Britain National Team, and is playing the 2019 Eurobasket Championships. GB beat Latvia and lost to defending champions Spain so far. A victory over thus far winless Ukraine will get them into the next round.

Great Britain made it to the semis, where they lost to France 63-56. They play Serbia for 3rd place. Janice did not play a lot, averaging about 2 points and 1 rebound in 10 minutes per game.

It's reported that this performance qualifies GB for the 2020 Olympic qualifying tournament. Would be nice to see another Rocket playing in the Olympics.

Looks like Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott is joining Monakana and Clark in the Woman's British Basketball League, signing with the Leicester Riders

Loughborough’s not too shabby a place to pick up that post-grad degree, either.

Monakana still doing her thing in England, as her team has won the WBBL cup, with Janice being named MVP of the finals, with 21 points and 6 boards.

The WBBL has a weird format, as they have 4 different tournaments(?) through the year - the Championships, the Playoffs, the Cup and then a Betty Codona Trophy. Her team, the Sevenoaks Suns now hold 3 of those 4 titles, and they are the 1st team to have won all 4. Monakana was named MVP in two of those this year. Next up for her is Olympic qualifying.

She's listed as a reserve for Leicester Riders:
