RE: Say something nice about EZU
EZU fans are smarter than I thought.

Case in point, when we scored at the end of the 3Q to take a 14 pt lead, the first big wave of ECU fans started leaving the stadium. I turned to my daughter, the JMU alum, and said "wow, I'm surprised these folks are giving up so quickly, it is only a 2 score game at the moment." I guess they understand their team pretty well as they knew they were whipped and weren't coming back.

That NO QUARTER thing was kinda fun. It was one of the top 3 loud moments for their fans. Not sure what the hell it means and am too lazy and don't care enough to look it up, but whatever gets 'em juiced up, then great. It kinda fired our fans up too in a backlash kind of way. The banner over their band was interesting. Reminded me of a MLS game.

Speaking of their band, they were small in numbers and quiet. Didn't have much to play about I know, but not much build up on big defensive downs or anything like that. The MRD's once again owned the stadium. Well done (as usual and expected).

Haha, the "No Quarter" thing....

One of their fans that called in to the radio show last night said that he thought there had been some miscommunication between the team and the fans. When asked to explain, he said that he thought the team thought it meant "don't compete for any quarter".

Several ECU fans stopped us after game or on their way out during game and said congrats after like some others on the board I thought we might have trouble in Section 17 before the night was over.

It was nice of them to be so hospitable. Several said "good luck, we understand why ya'll were National Champions".

Had a great experience with all the ECU fans I talked with on Saturday before and especially after the game. One of the more positive and enjoyable away game experiences I must say.

Would be fun to play them on a regular basis.

Thought the big red flag in the endzone at the start of the 4th quarter was kinda cool also.

On to next weeks home opener. Will be great to get back to BFS!!

Go Dukes!!

ROOTIN!!

Tifo - noun - a choreographed display in which fans in a sports stadium raise a large banner together or simultaneously hold up signs that together form a large image
