OT: Mayweather vs McGregor
Knowing absolutely nothing about these fights, these fights always seem to be overrated and not worth the money people spend on it.
Mayweather will probably still win somehow. That's my extremely amateur analysis.

OT: Mayweather vs McGregor
I'm ordering it and having some folks over to watch. I don't expect a competitive fight but it has to be entertaining one way or the other. Either Mayweather is going to make him look silly or McGregor is going to land a monster punch out of no where. Either way, I can't see it being boring. If Mayweather tried to sit back and play defense McGregor is going to just keep going at him until he runs completely out of gas.

Isn't that what Mayweather "does" and how he's so successful? He just jukes around and wears his opponent out and then goes after them while they're exhausted?

I don't know how gassed Connor will get from the effort. A 5 minute round in MMA is like 5 rounds of boxing, the extra effort of kicks and wrestling way more exhausting than upright boxing. Plus, you can't take "breaks" in MMA like you can boxing, letting your guard down for even a second is disastrous. If anything wears McGregor down it will be the pounding his body and head will take.

Floyd's advantage is he's elite in 100% of what they'll be using where as MMA fighters have only a fraction of the training/expertise in that discipline.

I think this has the potential to be the most over-hyped and boring fight in memory. As much as I'd like to see Mayweather clocked, McGregor has about as much chance of catching and beating Mayweather as the Dukes would playing the Patriots. I say it goes the distance, and McGregor loses every round in a pity-pat exhibition by Mayweather.

I think it will go distance and Mayweather wins decision. Mayweather hasn't shown any real knockout power for the last few fights

Mayweather bragging that sportsbooks wouldn't take his $100,000 bet on him winning under 9.5 rounds, so he gave the cash to others to place the bets for him. Ref stops the fight with 9.45 rounds completed. hmmmmm.....

Better than I thought, though if McGregor hadn't shot his load in the first few rounds it may have ended better. I knew the longer it went the less chance McGregor had of a KO but was interested to see if Floyd could KO a fully charged Connor. I really miss the days of a young Tyson.

I was curious on the ref stepping in at the beginning of the 9th(?) when McGregor had backed Floyd into a corner and talking to McGregor for like 20 seconds while Floyd recovered. And the judge who had McGregor only winning round 1. I never expected for McGregor to win, didn't think he was winning the scorecard after the 7th but come on, 1 round to him, boxing is a joke.

I have watched less than half of Floyd's 50 bouts but I have to guess this is near the top of the list as far as entertaining. Definitely best in the last decade.
