What I don't get is how espn makes absolutely no effort to promote their non-P5 programming.
G5 gets some but it's noticeably less. Fcs or lower get no mentions whatsoever.
How hard is it to run a quick 10 second promo letting viewers know what's on?

For years, perhaps since its inception, it has pretty much been a weekly video newsletter for about 12-15 programs. Even a lot of the P5 doesn't get any coverage from them less the rare event that might warrant it. IOW, if Vandy is playing Kentucky, they aren't mentioning it.

You'll get your weekly dose of what's going on at Michigan, Ohio State, Clemson, FSU, Alabama, Southern Cal, Oklahoma, Texas, and a few others. You'll sit down and shut up. And, you'll like it.

If you're an Alex wood fan (lol), tune to espnU and see his Florida A&M rattlers take on Texas southern.

Watching this famu game really makes me appreciate how good our team is. This is some sloppy football all around.
Dropped passes, missed FGs, miffed kickoffs turned over by overrunning the ball. Penalties on virtually every play.
The very first two plays were penalties.

Wow, something I've never seen before in a football game. A kickoff sails over the returner's head to the 3 yard line, he picks it up and takes a knee in the end zone. A safety.

How does this get coverage and JMU not have a TV game... I'm thinking uri would be more competitive than what I'm seeing

What a punt by Portland State. So far Portland State has looked better than BYU. I know that is not all that unusual at the beginning of a game, but it could be a good game to watch through to the end.

So today on ESPN with I-AA had:
-FAMU 29, TX Southern 7
-BYU 20, Portland State 6
-UTC @ JSU (on ESPN now)
-Colgate @ Cal Poly (ESPNU 7 PM)

+ tomorrow had RU @ SHSU on ESPNU that was postponed due to Hurricane Harvey.

I read they had 9 starters back on defense and 6 of them are pre season all OVC. You'all know they get all those SEC transfers. Could be one of the top defenses in the country along with the likes of NDSU and JMU. 2015 #1 seed, last year #3 seed.

-9/9 @ Ga Tech. JSU getS 2 weeks to prep. Ga Tech will only have 5 days after a Monday game with Tenn. JSU should at least have a good shot in that game.

JSU has gone 16-0 in the Softland like OVC the last 2 years..

Definitely a team to keep an eye on as a contender for a Top playoff seed.

Bet it helps to build an actual working relationship with ESPN, like say ESPN3. Nah, we're *much* better off with Stretch.

Anyone care to check how many of these schools also stream thru ESPN3? I bet it's the majority.

There's some good hitting going on in this UTC-JSU game. Good stuff so far. Well, if you like defensive guys bringing the lumber. Love it.

Think JMU would beat either, but I don't know about being up 2 TDs in the 1st half sans Klostermann & Alls. 1st 2 games will be only 3 starters from (most of) last season back on offense. Going to be a opposite of last year- defense should start out great- much stronger than the offense. Now once get suspended players back and O-line has had time to gel, then yeah..
