Wish they would just go ahead and proclaim the SEC a pay for play league. A farm system for the NFL. That's all it is anyway.

Yep. Everyone knows it's a pay for play league. I know as Southern Miss fans, most are thrilled that Ole Miss, (and maybe now State), is in hot water with the NCAA. But it's actually a bit pathetic knowing that they aren't doing anything the rest of the league isn't doing. The biggest mistake Ole Miss made was beating Bama a couple of times. Everyone knows that is not allowed. I remember a few years back my youngest son visited Bama with some of his frat brothers, and came back telling me about all the players driving new cars. Kind of funny knowing so many come from poor families.

After State ratting out so many others teams, this makes me very happy.

Steven Godfrey is a big time Ole Miss fan/alum. He's also said some pretty derogatory things about USM/Hattiesburg on Twitter. Worked at the HA back in the 2000s.

I'd expand that to include most of the P5. Just have minor league football just like minor league baseball with the ability to draft guys out of high school.

The NFL certainly isn't going to instigate it as long as they have over 100 colleges willing to do the work for them. One more reason we should've forced the issue with the P5 instead of bending over for half of a crumb of the playoff money.
