Thoughtful article from the leftist Bloomberg about online mobs and their coercive power:
"...I find myself in more and more conversations that sound as if we're living in one of the later-stage Communist regimes. Not the ones that shot people, but the ones that discovered that you didn't need to shoot dissidents, as long as you could make them pariahs; no job, no apartment, no one willing to be seen talking to them in public."
"...That power keeps growing, as does the number of subjects they want to declare off-limits to discussion. And unless it is checked, where does it lead? To something depressingly like the old Communist states: a place where your true opinions about anything more important than tea cozies are only ever aired to a tiny circle of highly trusted friends: where all statements made to or by people outside that circle are assumed by everyone to be lies; where almost every conversation is a guessing game that both sides lose...."
Article discusses the Google and Apple mobile monopolies and their control over speech. They have banned Gab, a twitter alternative that bases its rules on the 1st amendment. It is that same "internet mob" rules that are limiting the financial opportunities of "unapproved" companies. https://www.city-journal.org/html/first-...15401.html
"But it’s difficult to credit Gab as a white-supremacist site when its cofounder is a Turkish Kurd and Muslim. Büyükkaya, who says “I’ve never supported Trump for a minute in my entire life,” is concerned about speech repression in his part of the world—for good reason, as Turkey is infamous for its violations of free speech and for locking up journalists. Gab spokesman Sanduja is a South Asian Hindu from Canada.
Gab points out that other major social-media platforms have hosted ISIS activity, and child-porn rings, facilitated drug dealing, and carried live streams of murder, torture, and other crimes. Yet all are still allowed by Google. Google itself actually hired Chris “moot” Poole, founder of the notorious website 4chan, known not just for offensive speech but also for the distribution of hard-core pornography. Police have made multiple child pornography arrests associated with 4chan. There remain multiple 4chan apps in Google’s app store."

BOOM!
there are only a few select people I trust to share my political opinions with, and only a very select few of those disagree with me. I just don't need the headache.

Do you disavow the political violence of antifa?
Not playing your fake games.
I'll say this and leave you in a quandary: Both sides are to blame.
That's a little weak. It doesn't take a great deal of intestinal fortitude to disavow antifa.
Well as long as he isn't one of the hypocrites complaining about Trump not specifically disavowing the Neo-Nazis and KKK in his first Charlottesville comments , as he had done at least a half times previously during the campaign.

Not for nothing but, "both sides are to blame" is the same intestinal fortitude Trump showed in responding. Didn't get my drift about "a quandary".
That's not a quandary at all dipstick. Both sides are to blame in Charlottesville, and elements on both sides suck. Not all elements on either side suck, but some do.
You can't see that? If not, you are exposing either your myopia or your self prescribed glaucoma treatment.

You agreed with me. So what's the problem dipshit?
You're completely missing something. It's not me on drugs. We're in agreement but you have some weird problem with that. Are you pissed at yourself too? Maybe you can explain your malfunction.
