Unsalted. You need to pick up packets of salt at another table in the Salt Distribution Tent. One packet per season ticket holder per sport upon showing your ID and a quick test of your tongue to determine if it's already salty. There will also be a blood pressure check to make sure you can handle the salt.

I really like the Chicago Mix. With a little cheese corn and caramel corn mixed in. Any chance this will be available?

Yes! It will be available in the Chicago Mix tent. However - and this is bad news - the Chicago Mix will cost you $10 a bucket, because this mix is gourmet and needs to be imported from Chicago.

Season Ticket Gift
All kidding aside, kudos to Athletics! This is a very nice thing and will keep on giving thru the end of the basketball season. I can see fans sitting in the stands with their buckets and munching on popcorn. People will ask where they got the buckets and there's marketing for season tickets. Plus, you can't beat a buck for a bucket of popcorn. This will be great for families (but maybe not so great for the cleaning crews). I like this idea.

You wouldn't be saying that if you have ever tasted the popcorn at the Convo! It's 75% salt and 25% popcorn.

RE: Season Ticket Gift
Here is the top secret e-mail ONLY for season ticket holders...

SEASON TICKET MEMBER GIFTS
Season ticket members for Football, Volleyball, and Men's and Women's Basketball will receive an 80 oz. plastic refillable NIU popcorn bucket to be used at all NIU Athletic events held at the Convocation Center or Huskie Stadium.

Details:

A coupon in the bucket when you pick it up will be turned in for your first free fill. After that just bring your bucket to the dedicated popcorn refill concession locations at Huskie Stadium (noted below) or either north or south lobby Concession location in the Convocation Center and get a $1.00 refill.

Not all locations have bulk popcorn available to refill the buckets, so the designated popcorn refill locations at Huskie Stadium are:
The popcorn machine stand located in the North Lobby (west side)
The 300 level North end stand on the outer ramps (west side)
The main concession stand on the East side of Huskie Stadium.

Once you purchase or renew your season tickets for any of these sports you can receive your gift, but it is limited to one gift per season ticket holder account per sport. i.e. a season ticket member for all 4 sports can get 4 buckets.

Season ticket members can pick up their season ticket gift at any the following locations:

Football - At the Huskie Kickoff Event at Fatty's on Saturday, Aug. 26th or on Gameday at the tent located near the Guest Service booth on the grass on west side of the parking lot along the path from the West Lawn Parking.
Volleyball - at the marketing table inside the gym
Basketball - at the Marketing table along the track in the NE corner of the area near section 106.
Season ticket holders will show ID and sign for their gift when they pick it up.
During normal business hours Monday - Friday 9 AM - 4:30 PM at the HAF/Ticket office receoption desk.
Must bring bucket to event to get refill.

I'm a season ticket holder in 3 sports and I have not gotten any e-mail. Then again, this is quite common.

Understood. After I cleaned them out of hot dogs the past 2 years, I'm sure they want me nowhere near the popcorn.

Really like the idea and is smart marketing because odds are people that are going to get the refill are going to spend a bit more on something else like a drink.

How I wish it were true, but unfortunately no. I just learned that this is the picture going on the bucket:

For me, this is not unusual. I often do not get e-mails that others get. You would think that a season ticketholder in 3 sports would get this e-mail. I can't figure out how hard it is to put together a master e-mail list (or lists) and send everyone on those lists the e-mails. Someone needs to help them figure it out. (And, yes, I checked my spam/junk e-mails also.)

RE: Season Ticket Gift
I have a really dumb question, but I hope someone knows. Im not sure if this has always been the case, but I just sent my BC tickets to someone and I looked at the season ticket sheet, and didn't realize there are two bar codes, one if perforated and can be torn off and one is on the lower part of the main body of the ticket. When I sent these tickets, I tore off the ticket and did not include the 2nd bar code. Did I make this takes not valid or can the one bar code be good enough?
