Inclined to agree with this. Never-Trumpers have abandoned principles and adopted leftist rhetoric. They used to not believe in group guilt as the identity politics group does. Yet they did with Charlottesville.

Here's the problem with abandoning principles. The republicans haven't really stood for much in the way of principles in a long time. Democrats haven't either for that matter, but that's another subject. It's all been short-term political opportunism, not looking at good or bad impacts, on both sides.

If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. That's how we got Trump. What Trump did do is successfully drive a wedge between the working middle-class and the non-working welfare class. That's something that republicans should have done two decades ago. But they should have done it with principles, not just yelling and screaming.
