If you read their methodology, it's kind of lame. Of course the P5's will be "happier"

What in the world is the recruiting methodology? We've had the #3, #2, #1, and #5 class in the Sun Belt since we moved up.

So I guess based on this, Coastal is neither happy nor sad.

Are we number 1 on the College Football Apathy Index list then?

I'm sure its an error. You can't possibly be a 1. It's also possible they're using ESPNs recruiting ratings and 247. I haven't checked them so I don't know.

UAB is also not listed so I'm sure they're only using programs that had FBS teams last season.

You have to press the start button.

Well, when you're coming off a season in which you were the worst FBS program in the Nation, it only makes sense that the fans happiness index would correspond.

I'm sorry but what is this "no success in recruiting in the FBS thus far" nonsense?? That's just horrible journalism

Also I'd put our Twitter presence up against any fan base in the G5. I have no idea where they're getting any of this data

Yes because ESPN proclaims it, it is true....

ESPN rankings are apart of the 24/7 composite as well. Last year was way down compared to the year before but I'll take one "stinker" out of four. Another bad year and this will be accurate especially if we had the same OC's as long as we finish strong we will be counting the seconds to 2018.

Silly folks at ESPN just don't understand that the Statesboro crowd is fueled by hate, anger, and negativity.

I can't speak to the ESPN methodology, but the GS fans in this thread so far seem very unhappy.

If I understand the methodology correctly, I'd say despite having the best recruiting class, not going to a bowl last year and prediction of mediocrity this year leads to disappointment and/or frustration. It says something about recruiting vs preformance.

It days something about positive tweets, so maybe if you guys weren't calling for the coach's head so much, you would be ranked higher.

Considering we haven't beaten app or gsu since 2014, i think the GS fan base depiction is pretty accurate. 01-lauramac2
