Not anymore. You can argue the polls have some influence but in general they're meaningless compared to the CFP poll.

No Memphis? Coaches poll gave us a little more respect with votes for Memphis, Temple, Houston, and Tulsa.

Where is Temple?

I disagree. As an AAC team, it is a huge advantage to be in the top 20 before the season even starts.

In other words, the publicity is priceless, though it can backfire as it did for Houston against SMU.

We have 2 AAC titles in 4 years, remind me of how many ECU has.
