Parking is non-existent in the sense that the stadium is not surrounded by a massive parking lot, but it's really not all that hard to park in the area - either on the street or in pay lot. That said, there is the St. Charles Ave. streetcar. Just be aware that it is slow. I think that I'd just use Uber.

Unless there is a big event in town, UBER will cost $10-12 max, cab about the same. Maybe take the street car to the game to check out the old homes on St Charles and then walk through campus, but as TU77 said, it will take as much as an hour to get to TU from the FC, then a 15-20 minute walk to the stadium.

Was there 2 days ago. Ride the streercar, enjoy the campus and walk to game. Gated parking in the rear.

OK - best crawfish etouffee in NOLA? Go!

I have two go to restaurants that I take friends to when they come to town.

Dooky Chase. It is owned/operated by one of the legends in N.O. cuisine. Leah Chase
2301 Orleans Avenue
New Orleans LA

Jacques Imo's - some of the best N.O. food in the city
8324 Oak Street
New Orleans, LA

My 3rd choice is not as good as the other two, but it is in the tourist areas on Frenchman

Praline Connection
542 Frenchmen Street
New Orleans, LA

Mandina's on Canal near Carrollton. Then go a couple of blocks over on Carrollton to Braccato's for Ice Cream.

In the French Market area good place is Cafe Sbsia's. Just past Cafe du Monde on the opposite side of Decatur.

I stayed at the Loews last weekend and thought it was great. Very walk able location.

Also had a shrimp po' boy from Verti Marte. Do yourself a favor and go there by any means possible.

I like to stay at the Drury Inn on Poydras. Just a few blocks to the French Quarter, right on the streetcar line. Free breakfast, free cocktails and snacks at happy hour, and cheaper than many FQ hotels.

The wife and I love to eat at Deanies Seafood on Iberville in the Quarter. Our first visit was during a Saints game. It was quiet when we arrived. When the game ended, however, they set up and broadcast the post-game radio show from there.

I was actually going to mention Drury Inn as well. My family stayed there for my daughter's wedding and were very happy with it, especially the free cocktails. It's also easy walking distance to the Dome.

the street car is slow and its a decent hike from the Tulane stop to the stadium. I did it last season because everyone else wanted to but that will be the last time. cab or uber if you dont have a personal car. parking isn't a breeze but its manageable. also dont plan on eating around Tulane, there isn't much at all

I think a previous poster was trying to say the Hampton Inn on Carondolet. South of Bourbon Street, on the street car line, and walkable to anywhere from Dome to Riverside to FQ.

Agree with Dooky Chase for best etouffee.

My boys and I will be at a couple games at Tulane this year. Easily recognizable in our WSU gear. Tulane fans are great and we have had a good time at baseball and basketball games. Going to get to at least one football game this year also.

RE: New Orleans Question (Tulane fans, or experienced NOLA'ers)
You should stay at the Ace Hotel in the warehouse district. It's near a lot of the more popular restaurants for locals, it has its own really great restaurant and bar, and you're a quick Uber or streetcar ride from the Quarter when you want to go. Because you said you'd get tired of Bourbon quickly (which we avoid like the plague here), it'll have you just far enough removed from the out of control tourists. You'll also be very close to the Superdome - walkable in my definition, but people from places where walking isn't as popular tend to think it's too long (Google maps says 0.7 miles). And it's a couple blocks off a restaurant and shopping area called the South Market District - not historic, but convenient when you're traveling.

Answering the question about getting to Tulane for a game, it would take you about 30 minutes on a good day on the streetcar from Canal Street, down St. Charles, and to the front of campus. Going from the Ace Hotel cuts 5 minutes or so off. From there you'd walk 5-10 minutes to tailgating and 10-15 minutes to the stadium. Campus is small, but long and narrow. The plus is it costs you $1.25 for the whole length and you'd get to enjoy scenery on the way. Traveling back you'd probably be ready to relax, so I'd take an Uber or Lyft from the back of campus on Claiborne and it'll take you 10-15 minutes max.

Plenty of food around Tulane, but locals don't frequently go out to eat Creole or Cajun food, so it's probably not what you're looking for. The two centers of restaurants in walking distance from campus though are near the corner of Maple/Adams and Freret/Valence - check them out on Google maps. The former has some great restaurants in Ba Chi Canteen (Vietnamese is big here) and Satsuma, and the latter has Company Burger, High Hat Cafe, Wayfare, and Dat Dog. People's recommendations above are great though.
