Rice is due to defend their title on Nov 21st @ North Texas.

I expect North Texas to cancel on us by Wednesday.

North Texas is ready to get back on the field. UAB canceled our game, not us.

Good. Rice would always rather play, despite what the conspiracy theorists think. Looking forward to a good game

The only people that think every team isn’t trying to play every game are sitting around with their tin foil hats on scouring the interwebs for information.

RE: C-USA Lone Star Champships: North Texas
North Texas is set to defend the title this Saturday at UTSA. Should the game be canceled due to COVID, what should be done with the title? Here are the options I came up with, but I'd be glad to hear other ideas too.

1. If both programs are forced to cancel, UNT keeps the title and defends it against UTEP on Dec. 12th.

2. If UTSA cancels, UNT keeps the title and defends it against UTEP on Dec. 12th.

3. If UNT cancels, the title is forfeited to UTSA.

I think those options are fair. Fingers crossed that this game gets played though.

Ha! I don't run this thing. I just maintain the data, and look for consensus.

I just wish our conference would officially do this stuff. In my opinion, there should be an actual championship belt and/or flag that gets claimed by the winner at the end of each contest. It might help our conference's marketability for television and develop meaningful friction between our programs. Eight years in and Judy still lacks vision.

UNT would have been better off having any of the above options transpire instead of what happened today. It was a beat down. 04-chairshot

A lot has transpired since the title last changed hands.... UNT, Rice, & UTSA will be leaving for the AAC after next season. Fans, are we going to take this dubious title to the AAC? Would SMU fans even be interested? These are the questions we must answer before we officially join the American. Thoughts?

Meanwhile, this was Charlotte, looking at ODU/Marhall, looking towards Texas/Louisiana.

Ha! You're probably right. But, it isn't our fault that they couldn't be creative and develop some ties with their fellow regional conference members.
