Rice will have the belt for 320 days when they are scheduled to defend the title against UTSA on Nov. 7th. But, what should we do about their title if Rice doesn't take the field? I'd like suggestions from the other fans of the other C-USA Texas programs.
Rice (Nov. 23, 2019- current)
North Texas (Nov. 24, 2018-Nov. 23, 2019) -367 Days
UTSA (Oct. 21, 2017-Nov. 24, 2018) -399 Days

Rice (Nov. 21, 2014-Nov. 6, 2015) -351 Days
UTEP (Oct. 25, 2014-Nov.21, 2014) -28 Days
UTSA (Nov. 23, 2013-Oct.25, 2014) -337 Days
North Texas (Oct. 31, 2013-Nov. 23, 2013) -24 Days
Rice (Aug. 31, 2013-Oct. 31, 2013) -61 Days
Remember Rice fans, you can display any version of the title in your sig if you choose. These are the only two still available.
How about "CUSA Texas Champs, Come and Take It - Louisiana Tech and UAB do every year".

I know you probably wish Louisiana was part of Texas, but you are not. Sorry guys.

Since no fans of Texas programs have chimed in, I'm going to propose that if Rice fails to play UTSA, two months from today, on Nov. 7th, than the Belt be declared forfeited and awarded to UTSA.
If any fan of another C-USA Texas program objects, please express your grievance, and explain your proposal for addressing the issue. Things of this magnitude should be openly debated.

That would be fair...if only one school doesn't want to play. What if by that time both schools are in the midst of cancelophobia? Award it to the last school to quit?
I propose to be awarded a forfeit, the school in question must be willing to play.

Thanks! For some reason that logo keeps getting dropped. I'll add it back to the choices.

If there is a last school to quit situation, that seems fair. But, I honestly think if C-USA gets into a situation where multiple programs (5 to 7) have to cancel their seasons, I bet the whole conference would call it a season. In that case, I think whichever program has it at the time should keep it. Thoughts?

As good a solution as any. Maybe, though, if different schools drop various games at various time, it should just revert to the beginning the abortive season. Like in baseball when a game is called in mid inning.

If Rice doesn't play UTSA on the 7th, I think should award the Belt to UTSA and let them defend it when they host UTEP the following week on Nov. 14th. Now, if everyone's season gets canceled before any of the Texas programs face each other, than Rice should just keep it until 2021. But, I like the idea of the last tea, standing holds the Belt if it comes to that.

RE: C-USA Lone Star Champships: Rice
Rice was due to defend their title last Saturday against UTSA, but the game was postponed. As of today, the game has not been rescheduled. We previously discussed options for the title should this game not be played. As it turns out UTSA was the program that canceled the game last week, so Rice retains their belt. Congratulations on retaining the Belt?
Rice is due to defend their title on Nov 21st @ North Texas.

North Texas is ready to get back on the field. UAB canceled our game, not us.
