Perhaps a nod to the historical trails, industry, highways, geographical idiosyncrasies, or something indicating the nastiness of the 80's.

Tornado Alley Tussle - Cliche and reminds me of midgets for some reason.
Havoc in the Heartland - Indoor football worthy?

How about Legend's Cup with the trophy awarded to the winning school by one of the legendary players of the past representing the losing school?

Something to do with oil and aircraft.

No Man's Land is just something I pulled up really quickly that involved both Ks and Ok (and Texas). I don't know how relevant it is but that's an example of a challenge name that could stand the test of time. I just don't like silly minor league-sounding names used at the university level.

Maybe just have somebody's name on it like Stanley Cup.

Exactly. Tulsa was always the best overall athletic department in the previous version of CUSA. I believe they're the top (or near) of the AAC since joining.

Make it a charity challenge with the winning school presenting a check to a children's charity of some sort. The money will come from a wealthy Midwest philanthropist or possibly a business with the cup being named after them. Boom! Done.

But Hood-rich is right.

We absolutely dominated in the "all-sports" trophy in our previous conference... for decades. With the upgrade in talent pool that comes with being a member of the American, I fully expect Wichita State to be competing for the top spot in the conference. We have excellent coaching and facilities across the board.
