I do believe said programs have potential for a must watch rivalry but can't pretend others currently in this league will demand careful attention too...

I am disappointed we don't do better (...I mean have programs) in mens/womens lacrosse, rowing, water polo, mens volleyball, and beach volleyball, since that's six out of the fourteen sports examined. Some of the other college sports mainstays in that list are mens/womens golf, mens/womens tennis, and mens/womens T&F. Wow, real revenue producers there! Let's not forget the rest of the list, which finishes off with baseball and softball, one of which we have borderline blue blood history in (but currently suck balls at), the other sport no one outside of Norman, OK knows exists.

What an asinine cross-section of college sports to single out so that you can compare various schools' performance. Like deciding you want to check out the performance of a publicly-traded corporation, but instead of sitting down with the balance sheet and income statement you count elevators and septic outflows.

That response was so awesome that UCornHusk actually ignored something WSU-related and moved on like it didn't even happen.

This whole thing just smacks of "trying too hard."

Rivalries develop on their own and don't have to be forced. It's like a joke that's funny...you don't have to explain it or sometimes can't explain it. If you have to explain it, it just isn't funny. I don't really know why, if this TU-WSU thing is such a big thing, why you need a fan-poll to pick out some cutesy name for it.

It's already a rivalry. It was quite heated in the past. Since we're conference mates again someone decided to give it an official name I guess. It's nice they asked for fan unput. Maybe they won't pick something too stupid that way.
