Athletic staff reorg
Not sure how these changes will impact the overall athletics operation. It looks like there are fewer people doing more work than before. Hope that's not a bad sign.

The reorganization makes sense given the tightening of the belt statewide, With that said, you can tell Frazier is getting serious about raising money by bringing in Feuerbach, which I think is the big news from this reorg.

Let's see if Mr. Feuerbach can do it right. It may be difficult unless he gets a staff under him.

I'm not sure anyone had this job specificity, it was sort of a team effort from the whole department, here is a link to the current Huskie fund team. http://huskieathleticfund.com/about/staff.html

But now we will have someone with a more specific task to take on.

The best person I knew in Athletics who could really connect with donors was Andrew Haring. Andrew is now in a similar position at UIC. I will never forget how Andrew visited me in my office and we chatted there and over lunch just for him to get to know me. There was no push for additional donations. Except for Kristin and Tim, he was the only one who knew my name. He really had a great ability to connect with donors.

Did Andrew call you Dog or Mr. Fan?

I preferred him to call me "sahib", but he opted for "you old fart".

Emphasis on major gifts - I never will hear or see the guy.

Regrettably not a brain cramp as much as an indictment on where NIU was falling short. See DF post regarding Andrew Haring.
