From what I read, probably a lack of playing time. He came to OU not highly recruited by the top P5 programs but is described as having alot of raw talent including speed and explosiveness. Looks like the issue was running routes and catching. Should develop into a solid receiver with good coaching.

I could see how that would be a problem for a WR. Sounds like he could be a project.

From the article . . . "Red Wolves are adding an explosive receiver for the 2018 season . . Dahu Green, a 6'3" receiver . . is transferring to Arkansas State . . a Consensus Three-Star Receiver, rated as the 64th best receiver in the nation by 247Sports and 98th by Scout
Oklahoma Coach Lincoln Riley asked to comment on Green before the Spring Game in April said . . he is so fast and explosive . .easily one of the top five most talented guys on our team . . progressing well . . had an impressive spring"

It's a good thing when good players want to come to your school. Having several Okies on the roster and contributing surely didn't hurt in landing this one.

I think he's the 4th FBS Transfer we've gotten for what will be the 2018 class. Two from OU, one from Ball State, one from Boise. Throw in our starting QB is a former OU guy, and we just hired our chancellor from OU, and we've got some sort of weird pipeline developing between Norman and Jonesboro.

From what I've heard the A-State coaches think that the Razorback transfer, Kendrick Edwards II, could be a dominate type player, and like Edwards, Green was also a "freak" type athlete , but very raw out of HS.
Of course Cameron Echols-Luper, did not pan-out, but he transferred to play a new position, and got into the dog-house with the coaches to boot.
Still to much upside not to take a chance on guys like them or Jarboe, or and Kendall Sanders, and A-State has hit more than missed recently.
Sure would not want to give back Dee Liner or Justice Hansen.

Speaking of a freak type athletes, Jonathan Adams, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's 2016-17 All-Arkansas Preps Male Athlete of the Year certainly is.
Talked to a former JHS HC and he said he is the best he has seen come through JHS, but that is pretty much what everyone says.

Is that the former A State players son? Jonathan Adams was the big talk when I was in my official visit in fall of 1997 (JUCO midyear transfer).

Yep their first Parade All-American. While Sr was plenty good at A-State he got hurt in their all star game after he signed with them, and was never the same again.
A-State offered Jr during his sophomore year, and he was far and away the best HS athlete in Arkansas in 2016.
