Excellent. The win ensures UT will be in the MAC tourney and a win against BG should give them a 1st round home game.

Too bad this game wasn't on ESPN3. Really wish more MAC schools would have their soccer and volleyball games on ESPN3. That was supposed to be one of the big benefits of the ESPN contract was that they would provide equipment so all the schools could put their non-rev sports on there. A lot of them still don't though.

You're right about ESPN3. I looked for it there and just ended up following on live stats.

Regular season ends Thursday against BG. Something to keep track of before the football game against Ball State. Though I can't really keep track of either; have some things on Thursday I can't get out of.

Story not up on the website yet, but according to twitter, Rockets defeated BGSU 2-1 today to guarantee a home game in the 1st round of the MAC tourney!!!

Rockets are the #3 seed and will host WMU at 1:00 PM Sunday at Scott Park.

Rockets get on the board 1st on a great goal by Sophie Pohl off a perfect corner. 1-0 about halfway thru the 1st

Score still 1-0 UT at the half.

Rockets had a couple of great chances to add to the lead, but the Western keeper came up big. Rockets had the better play the vast majority of the 1st, but did give up a couple free kick chances right before half-time.

In the other game of interest, Ball St. leads NIU 2-0. If both UT and BSU win, Rockets travel to Muncie on Friday.

Echiverri draws a PK off of a corner, and she buries it! Rockets lead 2-0. Isa's 6th goal of the season.

Game getting really chippy and WMU has had 2 good chances - 1 off the post, and one a tremendous save by Maddie Perrin. Still 2-0.

Western put a lot of pressure on the last 20 minutes and finally broke thru with a minute left, but the Rockets hang on for a 2-1 victory. Rockets go to the semi-finals.

Ball and Kent seem the obvious favorites for the finals but a Rocket-falcon final would be nice. After ten straight wins I’d like our chances.
