Men's schedule up on web site
LITTLE ROCK – Six home games and trips to Memphis, Phoenix, San Diego and Starkville, Mississippi, highlight the non-conference portion of Little Rock's schedule. The Trojans will play 13 games leading into their Sun Belt Conference schedule, covering seven different states during the two-month span.

Little Rock opens its 2017-18 season at home on Saturday, November 11, hosting Ouachita Baptist at the Jack Stephens Center. It will be the first game of the season-opening Tiger doubleheader as Little Rock will then make the trek up Interstate 40, facing Memphis at the FedEx Forum on either November 14 or 15.

The Trojans have been invited to participate in the 2017 Grand Canyon Classic as Little Rock's next four games will comprise their involvement in the event. Little Rock begins the event on the road, traveling to Phoenix to face Grand Canyon on Saturday, November 18, before continuing on to San Diego to face the Toreros on Monday, November 20th.

The second half of the Grand Canyon Classic brings the Trojans back home as the Jack Stephens Center will serve as the host venue for three games of the event. Robert Morris and Norfolk State, the two other teams in the tournament, will play a neutral site game at the Jack on Friday, November 24, leading into a pair of Thanksgiving weekend home games for the Trojans. Little Rock takes on Robert Morris on Saturday November 25, leading into the closing game of the event facing Norfolk State on Sunday, November 26.

Little Rock will continue its four-game home stand the following week, welcoming Central Arkansas to the Jack for its yearly trip on Wednesday, November 29. The home stand concludes on Saturday, December 2 with a showdown against Oral Roberts to tip off the month.

The Trojans then embark on a three game road swing, beginning with the short trip to Conway for the return trip of the home-and-home with Central Arkansas on Saturday, December 9. Little Rock then heads north to Peoria, Illinois, facing Bradley on Wednesday, December 13, before closing out the road swing in the Lone Star state, facing Sam Houston State in Huntsville on Friday, December 15.

The final home tilt of the non-conference slate features a meeting with the University of the Ozarks on Monday, December 18, at the Jack. Little Rock's final tune-up before hitting the Sun Belt Conference slate features a trip to Starkville, Mississippi, facing Mississippi State on Wednesday, December 20th. The showdown with the Bulldogs leads into the 2017-18 Sun Belt Conference slate, beginning Friday, December 29th at the Jack against Louisiana.

Tip times for all games will be announced as they become available. Season tickets for the 2017-18 Little Rock basketball season are now available by calling the Trojan ticket office at (501) 565-8257 or by visiting LRTrojans.com.

Robert Morris and ORU are good home games. Compared with Idaho and Tulsa from last season, it is basically a wash. No progress here. Disappointing.

All those games should be within reach except Miss State.

Disappointing home schedule. In contrast, I really like our road non-con slate. I hope we got some return visits from some of those.

Sounded quite do-able a couple of days ago. Loss of Watkins has me quite concerned. Felt his loss really hurt us last year. Seemed like we were counting on him to be the point guard this season. Hope we have a good back-up plan, since last year's didn't really work out. I do think we will be fun to watch and should be able to get a decent number of OOC wins.

Maybe we can piece together a good point situation. The new kid is a consensus 3-star, so maybe he is legit. I think our front line will be the strength of the team this year.

No doubt he has talent, and could be the answer right away. Just that Watkins was a 3 star out of high school who had experience at Florida State and 3 years of added maturity.
