Brandon Doughty playing on TV
I'm watching our NFC champion Falcons open up exhibition season against Miami, and none other than Brandon Doughty is starting for them at QB. Any chance he plays in the regular season, or is Cutler a lock?

He's better than Cutler. Can't believe they are giving that knucklehead $10m

Here in Atlanta, the CW affiliate picked it up. Elsewhere, you probably need the NFL Network.

Apparently, NFL Network is showing another game... not sure if this one is on TV at all, outside of GA / FL.

NFL Network is too busy showing Louisiana Tech legends and current Denver Broncos Vontarrius Dora and Carlos Henderson to be bothered with the Dolphins and Falcons 03-thumbsup

Moore hasn't played much at all in this game, none of the QBs look too good at this point. Cutler will be the starter for regular season. No offense to the other QBs, but Cutler is a starter and will fill right in where Tannehill left off.

Cutler's a peckerwad who never accomplished anything. Doughty's a prospect at best, but Cutler has a proven track record of crappiness.

I don't disagree with your assessment, but if he ever got to play on a franchise with a pulse he might have some good fortune. He's been around a long time to not have any skillz.

Doughty did ok last night, threw a horrible pass for INT but then threw a TD pass later on...He is in a battle just for 3rd QB on practice squad...David Fales from San Jose St. is giving him a run for his money as he played really well last night, granted against 4th string...Hopefully Doughty can hold on again to at least stay on practice squad....

Cutler broke every Bears passing record. Brandon Marshall had his best years ever playing with Cutler. Matt Forte was considered one of if not the best pass catching RB in the game. Alshon Jeffrey became the WR he is and got paid for it. Greg Olsen had his best year ever with Cutler. These guys were not passing to themselves. Cutler made these guys better. Just because he doesn't kiss ass he gets a bad rep. There's a reason he's going to be the starter in Miami over the other options. It's not rocket science.

You sure those guys aren't the ones who made Cutler look serviceable?

Throwing for a bunch of yards is one thing... winning games is another.

I am a big Dolphins fans a Doughty has struggled a lot in camp the last two years. He is ok in a bunch of categories but his arm strength cause a lot of ball to arrive late and be picked off.
I am a fan of his because he went to high school 2 miles form where I grew up but he isn't cut to be an NFL QB.

I thought for sure Doughty would catch on quick with a team as a starter. Hell, the Browns could use him.

Browns are ok with Kizer for the future if they can surround him with better WR's and RBS....Our HC Mike Sanford was Kizer's OC at ND and he is very high on Kizer...

.
Being an NFL QB is often being at the right place at the right time unless you are just super talented. Brandon is a terrific young man and was a fantastic college QB but I thought her would already be at least a backup. I just wonder why the Dolphins are hanging on to him and just don't waive him so he can at least have a shot with another team. I think he has a shot but has to be the ideal set up for his skill set. A lot of good college QB's never made a splash in the NFL, Graham Harrell comes to mind.
