ESPN starting a streaming service next year
espn has hastened its purchase of bamtech (which ran mlb.tv and nhl.tv) and plans a stand alone espn streaming service by early 2018

you can subscribe to it but there will also be an option to buy and join individual games
this will effect espn3 in some way (as a selling point seems to be access to espn 10,000 live games it doesn't air, aka the espn3 games)

I see it being successful if they can wrap ESPN with ABC channels. That will cut cords.

its solely sports..it will be a partnership between espn, nhl and mlb

Disney is starting a different service for all its non sports content in 2019

but not cbs is starting its own streaming survive (which will include cbssports) for 5.99 in the coming months

Can't wait for cbs sports to add a streaming package.

Looks like CUSA just might get a new TV deal. I have a feeling thats the kind of property that ESPN Streaming might be built on. It could also end up being a direct competitor to STADIUM in a space where the content is very low priced or even free. So, somebody like CUSA might either pick up a few bucks here or at least end up with a better platform for content that it cant get any money for.
