RE: Terrible news...subflea
So sad to hear this. To think I was getting on this board all worried about wether some football recruit was chrystal balled to us or what some random school president said about the B12, etc. And then to hear this it just puts all of that into perspective.

Sub was a mainstay on UC boards going all the way back to the old CUSA talk days with Joe Pong, Snart, etc. He will definately be missed around here, being that he was one of our heavy hitters, and even worse so Chuck will be missed by his family. The man was still so so young.

I never met Chuck in person, but his posts were always great and very insightful and I'm not ashamed to say I've been on the losing end of quite a few debates with him over the years.

RIP Sub

Folks, life lesson from a 46 year old who just learned this one the hard way....when an old friend calls and wants to get together and you are too busy because the minutia of life got in the way, ask yourself if the minutia of life getting in the way is a good enough reason to beg off.

This really sucks.

We say it. We think we are doing it, but are we really? The whole live each day like it was your last, cherish every moment, never let a day go by without telling those most important to you how much you love and appreciate them. There is no shame in what you are feeling Rath. There is no blame either. Life gets in the way sometimes and blocks us from what is most important. I don't know you from Adam, except what I can glean from your posts on this board. I can tell you that I know for a fact, you are someone who I would enjoy having a couple of beers with and just shooting the breeze. I am sure you are a good friend to those in your circle and I would bet Sub felt the same way. I have lost my uncle and my stepmother all in the span of August. I keep beating myself up over the lost time and failure on my part to communicate with both of them. All I can do moving forward is to keep trying to live up to those things I stated above. We all can, and should. Sorry for the speech, although it has left me feeling better.

RIP Sub. I never met the man but we've been on message boards together going back almost 10 years I think.

I'm so sad for his family and his friends on here, as I know he had many on Banter. Gone way too soon.

Sub was a really intelligent poster. He could sniff out a weak or stupid argument and would often come into a thread with actual facts when conjecture was flying around.

He will be missed. Go bearcats

See you muchacho. Too soon by a mile but Glad for time spent. Spilled a honey brown in your honor. Never mind that is what I would do with honey brown anyway.

Last time I spent time with Subflea was at the tailgate for the last UC v. Ohio State game. Hard not to think of him this week.
