RE: Terrible news...subflea
What the hell happened? Seriously? He used to swing by my tailgate for years, was a great guy that I kept in touch with on this board and elsewhere. I was just emailing him about sports management as my nephew is in that major, we got through him being in Columbus and stuff then nothing. Now I know why. Terrible. I'm stunned. Anyone know what went wrong? Someone hit him? So sorry for his family. Damn.

This is just horrible news.
Chuck was a tremendous Bearcat fan and an even better person. He would do anything to help anybody. He also always gave great advice, but didn't do so unless asked. I will miss him as part of the Bearcat family that I have met over the years.
Is there any news on arrangements/visitation/etc.?

Over the years I have played in a number of Bearcat golf outings. My memory is I played in a four with him a few years ago. Wow - there are many sad stories in life.

Awful news. Subflea seemingly had excellent insight regarding the Athletic Dept. and shared accordingly.
He had kids and step kids I feel bad for his family. RIP.

RIP.
We all love to talk and argue on these boards. The funny thing is we are all prob more like each other than not. Many of us have "known" each other for literally decades and while you may never have seen a poster or wouldn't know them if they stood in front of you, you still know them and it hurts.

Exactly. I read the news for the first time this morning and I was shocked to say the least. While i never met him, he was a level headed, well-informed voice on this board. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Rest in peace my friend.

Sad news. I never met subflea, but always enjoyed his posts.

Paying my respects and sending love to Chuck's family and friends. Only know him through the board, but I have always enjoyed his insights and banter here. He left us too soon, but it sounds like he lived live to the fullest -- fatherhood, love, military service, and of course an education from his beloved alma mater. There is much to be proud of and honor for his time in this world. RIP.

Really good of him.
Absolutely incredible! The privilege to live and the gift of life given to three strangers. How many loved ones of these three were also impacted by this opportunity from sub? Quite a worthy legacy he left.
