It's simple:

  1. Schedule In-State P5
  2. ????
  3. Profit

I wish we had a "P5" like Wake within driving distance.

Some folks would say that App is lucky as a dog with two dicks! Few states have P5's willing to schedule instate. North Carolina is the exception with smaller p5's that hurt for attendance and has historically scheduled. There is no secret formula. You either have smaller P5's looking for attendance or you don't.

Arkansas State definitely has a different situation. No major league sports. One "pee fife" known simple as "Arkansas" within the state and nationwide. Buncha dad-blame uneducated people doing that woo pig call in those bars in the river market Little Rock. I really do feel for you. I lived through my time in your state with a greater hatred for the SEC and a great love for Boone. I bet you hate the piggies more than ECU hate's their daddies in state. As far as Appalachian State University is concerned, we're just a baby FBS trying to make it. We're glad to get any P5 at home. I think we're going great.

Well aw shucks, ain't that cute? Almost to beautiful to be a boy.

On a side note, i'm glad App has a draw that enables UNC and ECU to be able to schedule games in Boone. Would like to see NCSU and Duke follow suit as they now have no excuse not to.

Surely they're not far behind.

I suppose they would be more excited to play App because playing ECU hasn't worked out well for them. This serves as an out...so long as they win.

Was thinking i'd go to Greenville (get discounted tickets) for the Virginia Tech game however I'm not feeling the Scottie project. Scottie doesn't know.

By all measures, Wake Forest is a P5 program, with P5 money. With a solid coach, Wake has no excuse not to improve year over year until they hit the 8 or 9 win mark.

Wake has an excuse as long as they maintain their academic stardards. They don't have those African study courses.
