RE: Jeff Scott
Brian Gregory getting an extneension is absolute madenss... till 2026.. MADNESS!!!!!

Especially with all the big 12 moves..INSANITY ..he should have been fired after THIS season NOT extended to 2026

jeff scott getting an extension if he was at the end of his contract would make sense to me...young talented qb, an impressive transfer class, you at least have to see how it turns out... but he had years left on his current deal....you could have waited a year before extending him ... 1-8 and 2-10 arent justification for early extensions,

From what I’m hearing the two year extension is not as big a deal. He took a bit of paycut, more money for staff and buy out still the same.

The Gregory situation I haven’t seen the contract and most are not happy with it. But basketball will always take a back seat to football in Florida

basketball is a backseat at florida state, florida and ucf... that doesn't mean they are just going to put out trash teams and just accept it...all 3 are projected to being the tourney conversation..even Miami is in the NIT conversation

extending Gregory is madness... its one thing to suck, its another thing when you've already been given an ample amount of time, its another thing when you were fired from your last job and no hall of fame resume to justify what he might do..
the biggest dagger is there is no "Hope" .. you're horrendous this year, there's a 100% chance you'll be horrendous next year

every top recruit for 2022 is committed or has favorites...not that it mattered usf has no open scholarships, with most of usfs players being transfers, who cant transfer out and already used their 1time transfer...
we arent even adding the racism madness from last year either

this is a nonsensical decision for a program trying to doll itself up for expansion in the next 3-5 years

I agree completely on Gregory and asa basketball fan it makes me mad and I have made it known to those in charge.

With that said it is football that will make or break this move by our AD, it is football that will determine any future conference moves by USF.

If football works out and becomes a conference champion under Scott the vast majority of USF fans and boosters would take that as a success even if USF basketball remains at the bottom.

RE: Jeff Scott
gregeory should have been fired.. and usf used new coach as a justification to clear out its roster, maybe get the playrs waivers..

then gone to the biggest hall of fame 2nd chancer they could get like Pitino or Sean Miller type ..and feed on the portal, but with actually good players from a good recruiter

Not disagreeing with you on that assessment. As I said as a basketball fan I’m not happy with it.

football matters the most, football isnt the only thing that matters... the acc publicly said that if they had continued expansion in 2014 UConn would have been picked..

and scott is averaging 1.5 wins a season. tanking your bball (the #2 revenue sport) for that seems odd

if rather be dominant in every sport, and think lets just worry about only football... hiring a great football coach doesn't preclude me to from hiring a great basketball coach..
but we'll see how it all works out

Our AD has done well in strengthening all of our other sports. So in that sense he has a good track record.

Regarding Scott as I said I don’t think is a big deal because I believe he is putting football to go in the right direction. His buyout remains the same so if he doesn’t produce in next couple of years, getting rid of him would cost the same as if he hadn’t had the extension. And either way he was going to be given two more years to produce.

Gregory is the one that I agree doesn’t make sense, but as I said earlier basketball is not going to be the reason USF doesn’tor does get an invite to Big12

Almost like I said this was going to happen almost a month ago.

Love the move. It helped us grab a great DC and some very nice options for OC. I fully believe in Jeff Scott.
