Lane Kiffin is on that list? Jezus - the ink isn't even dry on his first contract.

Never underestimate the ability of Joey Freshwater to find himself in a pickle, plus this is FAU we are talking about. Remember Carl Pelini?

Lovie Smith? USA Today, are you kiddin' me? Illini football finally has a stud athletic director in Josh Whitman. Recruiting is picking up steam. Illinois just aced Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska out of a 4-star, 300 lb. nose tackle nicknamed 'War Daddy.' Lovie's got a looooooong leash. #Texaspipeline

Bielema, Sumlin and Rodriguez would be my top-3 choices.

Smith is safe. He's really making a mark for the Illini. State football HS coaches love him, which is a 180 from Beckman.

If the option was available I'd take the field. There is always someone who gets canned out of left field in the middle of the season, usually as a result of some off the field incident or pissing off the wrong booster.

I'm still mind blown that Lane Kiffin took that job.

Would you rather be married to and under the control of a complete ***** or be in control of your own house even if it is not as nice as the house you had to get out of?

Bielema is safe unless he pulls a Petrino. His buyout is $15.4 million until January.

And when can we expect these to translate into Big Ten West division titles? 05-stirthepot

Well, winning a B1G west title is going to be like eating a whale...you have to approach it one bite at a time. As far as 2017 is concerned, I'll just be happy to watch Lovie pull the plug out of PJ's rowboat 03-woohoo Bloop...bloop...bloopCOGS02-13-banana

LOL! You got me there 04-cheers

Most Minnesota fans have a strong dislike for used car salesmen and loud, flashy gimmicks. And Fleck's entire approach not only screams them, he's proud to do that. BUT ......... if he wins, he wins. That's the one thing Brewster forgot to do.

Well he's in the lists top 10 but absent scandal cannot imagine Kelly being "first fired".

Notre Dame just isn't likely to pull the plug before anyone else does.

Let's just say I wouldn't hold my breath waiting.......

If I were a betting man I'd say the Illini will have a new coach long before they win the B1G West.

Kelly might not be the first, but he'd better get the Irish to a major bowl game or he'll be history.

My guess on who's seat is the hottest, probably Kingsbury.
High expectations + lackluster results = FIRED

I'd short NCSU, MSU, Illinois, and FAU (Kiffen might quit, but I doubt that he'll be fired this year, barring a scandal)

Yeah, for some reason I like NC St as an upset pick in the ACC Atlantic.

And how the hell is Mark Dantonio top 10 on this list? He's closer to getting a statue erected than getting pinkslipped.

I don't expect them to go that far but they do have some talent. Recruiting is up. Carolina and Clemson are "rebuilding" but still very tough games. If Doeren wins 8 games this season he should be safe.
