You would typically receive your stake and HALF of the winnings. For example, If you bet $200 on Troy to win the conference at 7 to 2, you would typically receive your $200 back plus $700 winnings (if they won outright). In a dead heat, you would receive your $200 back plus $350. If you bet the same $200 on App State and they split the title, you would only get your $200 back plus $105.

It is App's to lose they dont play ArkSt and Troy and only play three teams all year that had a winning record in 2016. Only one team in conference with a winning record with Idaho who they handled easily last year. Honestly the only bad luck they have is Wake Forest is in that brief window where they win one or two seasons every decade or so and not playing GS and or GaSt earlier on and catching us still trying to figure stuff out with new coaches. Minor issues but it does not set up any better than that in the FBS. If they are good enough to beat thuga and it is direct path to the access game.

App is probably not a great bet honestly if you are a gambler. They are going to have odds favoring them to win a title, and even if they do win out, there is a very distinct chance that they share with the Troy/AState winner.

I'm not sure I'd drop a bet on any of the 3 given the weirdness that is Sun Belt play typically.

I cant wait to see how this plays out.. We get App at home but have Troy on the road. Excited about this years teams, its the best we have had maybe ever.

Sun Belt gets some weird results because the difference between the starting 22 and second 22 on any team is usually enough that an injury or guy just not having his head screwed on right makes a big difference.

I might bet on us at 16/1. Linehan has to stay upright all year but I think we have a fighting chance to beat App St. in Moscow and if we can do that we're in decent shape.
