Don't think anyone said you can't discuss expansion of the MVC, HL, or Summit. I for one just think for any of the Big Sky schools to leave, except maybe UNC just is not going to happen for many reasons which have been mentioned multiple times.

"The facts aren't allowed"

Yes, by facts you mean "the stuff that NoDak makes up out of nothing, and then dishonestly tries to claim come from articles that don't even mention the stuff he's talking about". Those facts.

You don't allow facts to impede your personal judgement.

I posted a Roanoke TV station link that reported Liberty would get an FBS bid before it did.

You got all over me and said it was a lie and the thread got moved to the Verbal Assault area.

You deny these things still but the record is clearly there.

The Summit needs to focus on the Dakotas, Omaha, Denver, Oral Roberts, W ILL, and hopefully one of [E Ill, NoCO, Duluth, St Cloud]. That can be a very successful group, relative to being a low-major DI conference. It means someone will have to step up and add men's soccer, and either baseball or the conference will have to decide to go outside the box and start men's volleyball.

If SDSU can do men's soccer, then I feel like NDSU can do it too. Might need to boost female varsity participation by adding another female sport.

SDSU doesn't have Men's Soccer.

5 publics in the MVC would add Murray State and the 4 Dakotas and be an even stronger league.

That's pretty funny...

The Valley isn't going to split unless some major changes in the FB landscape occur. What needs to happen now is FB season to kick off. Some of these threads are so far off the rails it is obvious that people are bored and overthinking.

Think I got confused with W ILL, sorry about that.

So anyway .... if W ILL can do it, NDSU and SDSU should be able to do it. SDSU might have to give up men's tennis to do it ... but who cares about tennis?? Shouldn't be an NCAA sport. (or really a school sport, period ... but that's my opinion)

- W ILL has 8 Summit men's sports (soccer, no tennis), plus MVFC football, and all 10 Summit women's sports
- SDSU has 8 Summit men's sports (tennis, no soccer), plus MVFC football and Big 12 wrestling, and all 10 Summit women's sports, plus Equestrian
- NDSU has 6 Summit men's sports (no soccer, tennis, or swimming), plus MVFC football and Big 12 wrestling, and 8 Summit women's sports (no tennis or swimming)

And the ag school XDSU's likely have higher percentage of men on campus than a former teacher's college like W ILL.

Just a matter of time before USI gets an OVC bid with this new arena coming online. USI didn't spend that kind of money to stay in DII. The OVC has moved their tournament to Evansville's municipal arena where the Aces play.

Murray State will get a bid from the MVC shortly and then the OVC will invite Southern Indiana and likely Western Illinois

That arena is too good for D2.

I guess it's not time to hit the panic button just yet for Morehead State given that Eastern Kentucky seems unable to achieve escape velocity, but I honestly don't see a way out of this for Morehead State aside from becoming Horizon League material.

The Big South would be slightly worse from a travel standpoint. Most of their road trips would still be in the 6-6.5 hour range, but some of the shorter trips get replaced by trips to Charleston, South Carolina; even Western Illinois is closer to Morehead than Charleston Southern. Practically every conference game requires crossing the Appalachians as well. It would make more sense to get the OVC to replace Eastern Kentucky with Bellarmine than it would to join the Big South.

Morehead St may have been a DI school for decades, but many DII schools far exceed it. Was shocked at how small Morehead was when I stopped for gas along the interstate to Huntington. Most DII schools in the power DII conferences far exceed it and it only has a pittance for an endowment. EKU may just as well be Ohio St in comparison.
