Dear Luckeyone,
Thanks for the story on Pat O'Connor. You're absolutely correct with "Way to go Pat!!". He was going about it the correct way without fanfare or looking for praise. He has set the bar high for doing the right thing, the right way.

I agree. O'Connor seems like a great kid and I'll bet anything that he makes the Lions.

Really good young man. Great opportunity for a pass rusher in Lions camp, great situation for him.

2 other MAC Lions already making names for themselves. Storm Norton (Toledo) was the starting LT in camp today, and Golladay (NIU & High School teammate of O'Connor) who has played like an immediate contributor at WR since the day he showed up.

MAC FB had a lot of very good players last season.

Seems the Lions able to find talent almost under its nose (Golladay, Roberts, O'Connor and Norton). Missed on Kareem Hunt.

Oh man, I *love* Kareem Hunt.

It's weird how crazy different the talent pool is this year for the MAC. There aren't many teams that look like they're taking strides forward this year. Good opportunity for things to get stupid and have a fun year.

Agree with you.

This appears to be a down year for the MAC and a year for someone or someones to break through and surprise.

Lions had a team scrimmage yesterday. Lions left tackles apparently struggled. POC mention below.
http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/201...s_mak.html

"Pat O'Connor came in the draft, just not until the seventh round out of Eastern Michigan, and he had a sack as well."

Ron Rice, a former Eagle, is a Lions training camp today. His son is a redshirt sophomore tight end, Xavier Rice.

The Lions play at the Colts on Sunday. O'Connor vs Wylie?
