This board is dead, so...
...which games are you going to watch in week 1 (and are you looking forward to any particular games in week 0?)
For me:
Week 0:
Meh. Maybe a little USF at San Jose State?
Week 1:
Thursday - a whole lot of meh. I may watch 5 minutes of the Wake Forest game just to say I saw some of it.
Friday - I'll try to check out BC at NIU to see if the Eagles are any good.
Saturday morning - I promised to take my son hiking (poor planning on my part), so I guess I'll be catching lots of highlights.
Saturday afternoon - I'll at least try to catch the end of NC State vs. S. Carolina (go Pack!)
Saturday evening - the main event: FSU vs. Alabama! Pork BBQ night!
Sunday - duh! WVU vs VT. Nacho night!
Monday - duh again! Tenn vs GT. Pizza and chicken wings night!
(followed by a week of healthy meals)

Everything football.
Do I want to watch Alabama vs. Florida State? Hell yes!
Do I want to watch "school I've never heard of" vs. Little Sisters of the Poor? Hell yes!

RE: This board is dead, so...
I will probably watch the first half of Ohio State-Indiana, just to get a sense of how good tOSU is likely to be this year.
Starved as I am for college football, I still don't see anything on Friday worth watching, so I'll save my strength for Satuday.
I'll watch the start of the Cal-UNC game, mostly to see if the Heels have a chance at being a bowl team this year. Then I'll switch to NC State-South Carolina, which should be competitive.
FSU-Alabama a must. There won't be much competition for WVU - Va Tech or Tennessee - Ga Tech, so I'll probably watch those until I fall asleep.

So close now I can almost taste it!
I'll have something on whenever college football is on. In all honesty, as the season wears on, I don't watch games ANY time they are on, there are some games that I just can't be bothered with. But at the opening? Yeah, I'll have on whatever is available.
I think that BC-NIU game actually looks pretty hot for a pre-season Friday night. But that probably says more about my Friday nights than the game.

RE: This board is dead, so...
Obviously I'm curious about Syracuse's game but beyond that in no particular order:
North Dakota vs Utah
Colorado State vs Colorado
Stanford vs Rice
Tennessee vs Georgia Tech
Texas A&M vs UCLA
West Virginia vs Virginia Tech
BYU vs LSU
Florida State vs Alabama
Louisville vs Purdue
There are some interesting match-ups in week one.

I'll be watching the Stanford game on the 26th. The Indiana game on the 31st and the Colorado State game on the 1st.
Traveling to Indianapolis to watch Louisville play Purdue at Lucas Oil Stadium on the 2nd.
Recover on the couch watching VaTech beat the dog snot out of the WVU
That's almost a perfect week for me.

FSU & Bama is obviously the big 1. Louisville & Purdue because it's the first game & since Brohm has taken over as the Purdue HC. It's a rare matchup as well.

Mark, is this a trick question? Have you watched your TV this Summer? HBO, Cinemax, Starz and Showtime are showing a steady diet of inane Zombie movies and shows I took my sweetie to 20 & 30 years ago.
The history channel is into aliens and national geographic is showing things that anyone but true archaeologists dig up. I've sick of Star Trek and don't care to see Star Wars until December when hopefully Luke actually has something to say.
And ESPN??? There is nothing worse than watching tape recorded programs from last year's softball, basketball, baseball and football seasons, except for the last year's women's soccer.
At this point I would watch the institute for the blind and disabled play Mount Holy Oak or Vasser!

If you want to kill time on YouTube, subscribe to AvE. Industrial mining mechanic up in British Columbia. He'll show you manly man shop skills they won't teach you in vocational school.

BRING ON FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!!
No four year university teaches you how to convert a drilling press into a cheap milling machine.
You sure? The backup at QB who waxed you is now the starter.
Well a broken clock is right twice a day.
