I’ll take a hard pass on that one. Mother Nature takes care of it in time. No ranch here. Just older subdivision with no HOA.

Well it appears ghostofclt is the board sme on lawn maintenance and canine fecal recovery so Ima ask some questions. I have never in my life picked up a dog turd.

I’m a bad neighbor in that when I take Pepper on a walk I will let him do his business down the street from my casa. But I alway make him wait until near the end of my road where it’s a neighbor who I’ve never cared for. He’s a retired used car salesman that sold my brother a lemon of a Suburu when he was just a kid. One of those guys that put sawdust in transmissions back in the day to get one off the lot. I have enough Commonwealth Scot-Irish in my blood that I can still hold a grudge 30 years.

About a month ago I ordered a pooper scooper off Woot. All the reviews were pretty good on it. Tbh, I’ve never broke it out of the box since it’s been January in Kentucky which is pretty cold. Today is supposed to hit 60. Let’s say I take my newly purchased pooper scooper out for a spin.

Here’s my question ghostofclt. Where the hello am I supposed to put all these half Lab half Mastiff eco-bombs when I pick them up???? Plastic grocery bag that will never degrade??? Or carry them all down to the end of the back yard and build a mini Mount Suribachi of Pepper’s finest??? If I do that then I have to steer the Husqvarna 48 incher around it every time I mow since nobody wants that in the tire treads.

Help me out here.

My wife used to pick up the turds out at our old house, which had a backyard 300+ feet long. At the time, we had 2 big black labs.

Unbeknownst to me, she put the "bombs" at the bottom of the chainlink fence, where weeds obscure their location. You can guess what happened when I weedeated a few days afterwards. I had it all over me...........I guess you could say that I was shiitefaced

RE: clt says let's talk leaves
My next door neighbor was stupid enough to pick a fight with a pre-teen kid who she suspected of not cleaning up after walking his family dog. Lesson learned -- you don't pick fights with kids.

He spent his Saturday retrieving every dog pile in the neighborhood and re-depositing them on her lawn. He denies, it, but we all know better (and some of us quietly cheered).

clt is glad to provide assistance. You can throw the bags of poop into the woods as they are likely (no need to check) biodegradable. If you don’t have woods nearby, simply move.

Another hot topic is crepe myrtle pruning. Let’s save that excitement for the work day.

What's your take of going to a crepe myrtle on someone's lawn and getting a couple clippings to start your own?

I like root hormone to aid in this process.

1. Buy a Tesla. (Lemon, or otherwise, no matter)
2. Store unneeded doggie poop in the trunk
3. When trunk is full, launch into space

clt says this is not very practical. You didn’t consider the smell as a Tesla trunk is not sealed.

Ours are usually in March. The street I work on in Downtown Roanoke is lined with them. Pretty but god they stink.

Redbuds and forsynthia are the first sign of spring around here.
