It's probably not realistic because they're so young, but some of the film I've seen on Childers and (especially) Hall has me pretty excited about both of them. Childers seems like he would fit into our system well as a runner, and Hall has an absolute cannon for an arm.
I guess I'm just hoping that either of them or Santa will be able to bring a spark to the offense that we know Graham isn't capable of. Thoughts?
You have them flip-flopped. Hall runs the ball as well as any player on the team. But unfortunately, any player on the team has about the same accuracy as him when passing. He won't see the field until he can start coming within 5 yards of the people he's throwing to.
Childers on the other hand looks to be a fairly accurate passer, while still being a decent, but maybe not great runner.
How I grade our QB quandary-
Graham: passing: very good short, very bad deep
Running: below average
Intangibles: none
Santa : passing: avg short, avg long
Running: slightly above avg
Intangibles: made some plays
Childers: passing: good short, good long
Running: good
Intangibles: size, unknown with upside.
Only Graham has enough attempts to be graded. But that's my early take on the other two. Hall's not in the picture this year.
