Nippert Changes for Soccer
Cincy took out 3-4 rows at Nippert along the sidelines and 8 rows in the corners to accomodate a regulation-width soccer field.

In minor league soccer, FC Cincinnati hosted Chicago on June 28 in what appears to be a sold out Nippert in its new configuration. See below.

Game story.

I only saw about 100 seats in that video, you've got your work cut out for you.

Hey, the good news for UC is that if FC Cincinnati ever joins Major Leauge Soccer, losing all those seats to accomodate a wider soccer field will pay off because of all the rent you will . . .

Wait a minute.

Turns out, the FC Cincinnati GM says the club will NOT play at Nippert if they move up to MLS . . .

"Losing all those seats"... 4 whole rows along the sidelines, and 8 rows in the corners. Wow, we must have cut the stadium capacity by, what...80? 90 percent???

And, if you go over the UC boards, anyone will tell you that the seats we lost were practically unviewable anyway. They were all sight-obstructed seats. So no big loss.
