Tigers on Trophy Watch Lists
I compiled a list of the Tigers that are on football watch lists this year.
Riley Ferguson: Unitas Golden Arm Award, Maxwell Award, Davey O'Brien Award
G. Avery: Bronko Nagurski Award, Dick Butkus Award
Gabe Kuhn: Outland Trophy
Drew Kyser: Rimington Trophy
Anthony Miller: Biletnikoff Award
Tony Pollard: Hornung Award
Spencer Smith: Ray Guy Award
That's seven players and those are not necessarily the 7 players on the team that can make the most impact on this season...in my opinion. I have never seen a Memphis Tiger football team in recent history so loaded with talent....many of which were pretty underrated in high school yet have really shinned in college and in our system.
Also, Pollard and Dustin Woodard were listed as Freshman First Team All Americans as well in 2016.
