ACC Has Half Of Top 10 in this Poll
We are doing something, right...well at least the G5 and midmajor fans hate us.

Ouch! UConn only received 10 votes. How the mighty have fallen. Also Kansas wasn't that high (#8 with only 28 votes) for a true blue blood.

Cheers,
Neil

Surprised that Xavier clocks in at 5.

Seriously, unless you're Cincy, Xavier is a very inoffensive program.

I love it!

I'm impressed with Syracuse edging out UNC for 3rd behind #1 Duke and #2 Kentucky. It either shows the strength of their brand or a lot of Georgetown fans voted in the poll.

I don't think Xavier is really all that hated nationally. I think if you look you'll find a Cincy message board somewhere with Cincy fans stuffing the ballot box with Xavier votes.

A football poll would be more telling. I'm sure Alabama would be #1.

edit :
I thought about it and a lot of programs fans probably hate Syracuse. There's the obvious BC, UConn and Georgetown but since Cuse was the heart and soul of the Big East, any of the 7 catholic schools fans could feel betrayed by Cuse leaving for the ACC. So Cuse has even more hate potential than UNC amazingly.

They have a very small fan base, so they are not nationally liked or disliked. Locally, I know Dayton fans hate them as much, if not more than Cincinnati does (XU and Dayton have a long-standing rivalry). There's not many XU fans on this website so outsiders don't get a good sense of what their fan base is like. If there were you would understand why they are not liked by those who know them best.

Yeah, I'm surprised more people don't know about North Carolina.
