Clayton joins the Dukes program with high expectations from that legacy set forth by his older brother, Deane, who was an All-CAA TE. Clayton hails from Mechanicsville via Hanover HS. I look forward to watching Clayton's development over the coming years. Our program has really been blessed with highly talented tight ends (no pun intended) and I'm sure Clayton just adds to that depth. Good luck to Clayton in his first year in purple & gold.

whoa.... Jimmy Moreland changed numbers. was really looking forward to this one, but looks like i'll have to wait on it. he's now #6.

Looks like Jimmy gave Clayton his big brother's number. Pretty nice thing to do. This'll be Moreland's third number in as many years. 17, 37 and now 6.

Not trying to takeaway from Moreland here.... But I'd imagine #6 is more sought after than #37--especially for a CB. It's likely he switched numbers first and then #37 fell into Cheatham's lap.

Hopefully Moreland with the more WR like # will have more WR like hands. All American coverage skills with hands of stone..The difference between Moreland making 2nd-3rd team all CAA, and 1st team All CAA/All American (and maybe a shot at the next level), is not dropping all the should have been INTs.

No one pound for pound delivered a hit like Pat Fischer. Had the privilege of seeing him play @ RFK stadium a few times as a kid.

He was one of my favorite Redskins back in his day.

So I asked Clayton what his older brother was doing these days?
