Carolina will appeal.
The appeal will be denied.
Carolina will bring suit against the NCAA and win.
All of this stuff won't be over for another two years, and when it is, the NCAA may not be left standing.

God I hope they try. This is a tarheel fanboy fantasy.

Let me get this straight, after spending years and probably around $20 million to narrow the focus of this investigation, including who their hired gun Wanstein was allowed to have access to, they are going to suddenly open themsleves up to discovery, subpeona power, and cross examination?

Pardon me, but, HAHAHAHAHA! No freaking way. As stupid and arrogant as that program has been, they are nowhere near as stupid as their fans. They already employed similar hubris when they didn't accept the 2nd watered down NOA. They want no part of Federal Court and the rules there. Doing so would uncover all the dead bodies and bring the whole stinking house down on top of them. You really want Ole Roy, your former football coach, and guys like McCants on the stand, under oath? You want all the transcripts of these players admitted into evidence??

No, they will attempt to appeal whatever sanctions they get, and when the appeal fails, they will take it even while playing the victim, because they'll know it could have been so very much worse.

Carolina has better lawyers than that. They will litigate on process not the actual sanctions or Carolina's actual actions. That gets them in the ball game to obtain an injunction - and they will get an injunction. Then the onus is on the NCAA to dissolve the injunction.

An injunction is just temporary pending adjudication.

It also won't at all stop discovery.

Like I said, this idea they want anywhere near a courthouse is a fantasy... Keeping diehard tarhole fans from pitching themselves off high cliffs.

We are already on double secret probation (the punishment was extending Lebo).

Chapel Hill deserves the death penalty. Chapel Hill won't get the death penalty, but it deserves the death penalty.

It's done. ECU had a self imposed bowl ban last season.
