Oh yeah, that was always the narrative with Cincinnati... no offense taken. It's the primary reason Huggins was let go. Mick Cronin has really cleaned up the program, although the Xavier brawl set us back a lot.

Looks like nobody likes the schools in Ohio. Xavier, OSU, Dayton and Cincinnati with a lot of votes.

Question for the board: Why do you all dislike the state of Ohio so much?

Mick's cleaned up the program, but to a lot of outsiders we still have that stigma. I've shared the story on our board several times, but a couple years ago I was watching the NCAAT with my wife's uncle (He is a Buckeye fan). He told me the problem he had with UC was that all of our players had tats and looked like they came from the hood. I reminded him that with the exception of BYU and Gonzaga, most teams have kids that came from similar backgrounds as UC, including his Buckeyes. I think he thought the guys at OSU came from England or something.

I feel like it was the Ohio fan contingent that brought up each other's vote totals. It's your fellow Ohioans that hate each other's programs the most. Haha.

On a different note... That's a nice foursome in terms of quality basketball from a single state. Add those 4 school's tourney bids the past 10 years and I'll bet it's higher than any other combination of 4 schools from any single state.

People in our neck of the woods have been talking about how our basketball product has been overlooked for decades. Consider this Columbus (OSU) is 100 miles north of Cincinnati (UC, XU). Dayton is basically in between Columbus-Cincinnati. If you go 100 miles south we have UK and Louisville. Part of the Cincinnati metro area is in Indiana, which is IU, Purdue and Notre Dame country.

Yeah... lots of quality BB in our tri-state area. You are probably right we were the ones giving each the votes.

My point wasn't the word Cincy, it's that he said we are hated because we are "Cincy". Wasn't sure what he was trying to say there.
