Expectations for ACC Network this Season
I realize the linear network isn't slated to start until next year, but what, if any, changes can we expect this season?

RE: Expectations for ACC Network this Season
Better quality broadcasts, I hope. Some of the school-produced events I saw last year were AWFUL.

Here's the ACC Network Extra (what I like to call ACCX) football schedule for the first 3 weeks:

--- Week 1 ---
Presbyterian at Wake Forest - Thursday 8/31 6:30 PM
Central Connecticut St. at Syracuse - Friday 9/1 7:00 PM
Youngstown St. at Pittsburgh - Saturday 9/2 1:00 PM
William & Mary at Virginia - Saturday 9/2 3:30 PM
NC Central at Duke - Saturday 9/2 6:00 PM

--- Week 2 ---
Wake Forest at Boston College - Saturday 9/9 1:00 PM
Middle Tennessee at Syracuse - Saturday 9/9 3:30 PM
Delaware at Virginia Tech - Saturday 9/9 3:30 PM
Indiana at Virginia - Saturday 9/9 3:30 PM
Marshall at NC State - Saturday 9/9 6:00 PM

--- Week 3 ---
Utah St. at Wake Forest - Saturday 9/16 3:00 PM
Central Michigan at Syracuse - Saturday 9/16 3:30 PM

The quality of the games is better, IMO. Notice there are 2 P5-vs-P5 games on ACCX in week #2. Still have 3 games on at the same time, though, which isn't much good.

Pretty much what HokieMark sez...I also expect more minor sports getting coverage.

Kap,
You must live in an area with terrible internet service. I hope it improves for you.

Not really. Netflix, Sling, and Hulu work fine. It's just ESPN that has the problems.

Besides, my brother is with an entirely different internet provider and has the same trouble.

They have definitely had technical difficulties in the past, which brings up something else to keep an eye on: will Disney's $1B investment in BAMTech start to show up in better WatchESPN streaming? Given the number of "cord-cutters", even after the ACC Network cable channel launches, a significant portion of the audience will be watching over the internet (and the same will be true of the SEC Network as well as ESPN itself). It's a problem they MUST fix, regardless of what happens with the ACC.

We have Google fiber blanketing the city now. I am reading reports now that Google fiber is 100's of times faster than cable internet. I have outstanding internet service with Spectrum. If Google fiber is faster, I'm gonna be blown away.

I have Netflix, a Broken Firestick with Mobdro and Kodi and a Roku.
I am excited.
